"And she called the name of the Lord that spake unto her, Thou God seest me: for she said, Have I also here looked after him that seeth me?"

Genesis 16:13

Have you ever had one of those days where you wonder if anyone really sees what you're going through?
You smile in front of others, but deep down you’re hoping someone notices the weight you’re carrying.

In Genesis 16:13, Hagar — a woman who was cast out, used, and alone in the wilderness — met God in her most desperate moment. And there, she gave Him a name: El Roi — “The God Who Sees Me.”

Not the God who might see. Not the God who used to care.
But the God who sees you now.
Right where you are — with the doubts, the prayers that feel unanswered, the things you can’t say out loud.

He sees the tears no one notices.
He hears the prayers you’ve whispered through clenched teeth.
He knows the questions in your heart you’ve been too afraid to ask.

You are not invisible.
You are not forgotten.
You are seen, known, and loved.

Today’s Prayer:
Lord, thank You for being the God who sees me — not just the polished version, but the parts I try to hide. Remind me that I matter to You, even when I feel overlooked by others.
