“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”
– John 8:36 (KJV)
Freedom.
It’s a word we hear a lot. But the kind of freedom Jesus gives isn’t like anything else in the world.
It’s not just the freedom to do what you want —
It’s the freedom to live without shame.
Freedom from the weight of guilt.
Freedom from your past mistakes.
Freedom from fear, and even freedom from trying to be perfect.
In John 8:36, Jesus says:
“If the Son makes you free, you will be free for real.”
Not “kinda free.”
Not “almost free.”
Free indeed.
That means no chains. No pretending. No performing.
When you give your heart to Jesus, He doesn’t just forgive you —
He frees you.
You don’t have to carry around what He already died to take off of you.
So if you’ve been walking around feeling stuck, weighed down, or like you’ll never be enough…
Remember this: Jesus already made a way out.
Step into it.
You don’t have to earn it.
Just walk in it.
Today’s Prayer:
“Jesus, thank You for setting me free. Help me to live like I’m really free — free from fear, free from guilt, and free to be who You created me to be. Remind me that when You set me free, nothing can hold me back.”
