“I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 3:14
Heaven isn’t just the after-party; it’s the finish line that gives meaning to every mile. Paul likens the Christian life to a race (1 Cor 9:24)—not a casual jog, but a focused sprint toward a prize that never fades (1 Pet 1:4).
When distraction whispers, “Slow down—it’s easier to coast,” remember Hebrews 12:1-2. We run with endurance by fixing our gaze on Jesus, who ran His race first and now stands at the tape cheering us on.
Set your sights “on things above, not on things on earth” (Col 3:2). That doesn’t mean ignoring real-time responsibilities—just filtering them through eternal purpose. Bills, deadlines, even hardships become training grounds, building spiritual muscle for the day you break the tape and hear, “Well done” (Matt 25:21).
So tighten your laces. Release the weights that slow you (Heb 12:1). The finish line is closer than you think—and the prize is Christ Himself.
