“Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee.” – Psalm 55:22
You weren’t built to haul every burden alone.
David shows the exchange: “Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you.” The word cast pictures throwing something off your shoulders onto someone stronger.
Jesus echoes it: “Come to Me… I will give you rest” (Matt 11:28-30).
Peter repeats it: “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you” (1 Pet 5:7).
And Proverbs 3:5-6 invites trust over tight-fisted control.
Letting go isn’t passive resignation; it’s active trust.
Open hands free you to receive fresh strength Isaiah 40:31 promises to those who wait on the Lord. Take the weight off your heart and put it onto His—He can handle what you can’t.
Today's Prayer
“God, I release control. Take what I can’t hold and do what only You can do.”
