Luke 5 :16 – “But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.”
Philippians 4 :6 – “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition … present your requests to God.”
1 Thessalonians 5 :17 – “Pray without ceasing.”
“WWJD?” We’ve asked it for years—What Would Jesus Do?
Open the Gospels and you’ll notice: before every major decision, miracle, or moment, Jesus prayed.
-
Before choosing the Twelve (Luke 6 :12)
-
Before feeding five thousand (Matt 14 :19)
-
Before the cross (Luke 22 :41–42)
Prayer wasn’t His backup plan; it was His starting line.
Paul echoes this rhythm: “Pray about everything” (Phil 4 :6). Peter writes, “Cast all your anxiety on Him” (1 Pet 5 :7). The early church “devoted themselves to prayer” (Acts 2 :42).
When you don’t know what to do, do what Jesus did—pray.
Three Simple Reminders
-
Pray First – Before the text, the tweet, the decision—pause and pray (Prov 3 :6).
-
Pray Bold – Come “boldly” to the throne (Heb 4 :16). Ask big because God is big.
-
Pray Always – Prayer isn’t a slot in your schedule; it’s the oxygen of your soul (1 Thess 5 :17).
Sometimes a physical reminder helps spiritual habits stick. Slip on our PRAY PRAY PRAY bracelet each morning.
Every glance at your wrist whispers, “Talk to Him first.”
Today’s Prayer
“Father, teach me to pray like Jesus—first, boldly, and always. Let every worry trigger a prayer and every decision begin with Your wisdom. Amen.”
